It’s Blitz time and you get to choose your own adventure!
Kick-off - 9:30am
Session 1 (pick 1) – 10am
- Trusting the Scriptures (Josh)
How did we get the Bible? How can we trust that it is a reliable source as God’s Word? And what does that even mean? This will be a valuable workshop for connecting some important dots in the Story of God and how your story can fit within it.
- Reading the Scriptures (Andy)
The Bible is a BIG book filled with different types of writings. We don’t read Psalm 1 in the same way we read Revelation 4 or Genesis 3 or Mark 10. So how do we account for all the different genres of Scripture especially when some of them are so unfamiliar? How do we read in order to understand what the author meant? This workshop aims to give you tools to understand some of the more tricky parts of the Bible – FUN!
- Praying the Scriptures (Vanessa)
If we trust and understand the Scriptures is there something more? YES! The church has always PRAYED the Scriptures in order to experience transformation, have eyes opened to God’s hand in history and our lives, and to hear God speak into the life of His people. Come and get some good ideas for praying the Scriptures throughout your day.
- Sharing the Scriptures (Eric)
If the Bible is God’s Word and powerful and shows us who God is and who we are – then we should share it, right? But that sounds hard. Well, that’s why you should come to this workshop to get the lowdown on some really good ideas on how sharing the Scriptures might look like in your neighbourhood, or workplace or wherever.
