Arranging a way to re-disperse all the warrantied goods of department stores instead of it doomed for the dumptser

The untapped oil of social services

Every month or so The Table is going to get a phone call from GUESS clothing because, thanks to Patrick Deorksen,  we’ve arranged for all the clothes to be picked up that they can’t be sold but are still good to wear!

So what?

Think and drool about all the other stores we might also partner with? The sky’s the limit. MEC, Canadian Tire, Sears, from furniture to underwear to camping gear. These goods would then be connected to existing services who know exactly where they're needed most in Vic. An organization called Good360 connects non-profits to a store's warrantied goods (How we got the GUESS contract) and they do a great job in the states, however there's room for a lot of growth in Canada, including Victoria.

Involvement might include

a) chatting with those you know who work in stores that could help

b) doing pick-ups

c) thinking about creative new endeavours and talking to others and myself about your good ideas
