Kaleo Blitz – Sexuality & Shame with Clarke Sheibe

For this event, we will look at the topic of sexuality and shame. This is a contentious topic, not so much because it steps into the foray of cultural debates, but because it leans into the personal dimensions of our hearts and bodies. It is a topic that touches every single person. This talk will be broken into four sections, four aspects of how the Bible addresses sexuality and shame. On the basis of the Bible’s own trajectory, we will look at sexuality and shame through the lenses of the original intention for creation, the fall, the ministry of Jesus Christ, and the new creation of the family of God. We will look and discuss these each in turn. What we will find is that God’s Word offers us substantial healing in its truth claims and in its mercy extended to us through Christ.
