Abundant Grace of God Maternity Center – Pinukpuk Extension

AGGMC is planning to expand their services into the municipality of Pinukpuk.  This area lacks access to safe, comfortable and women-centred midwifery-led care in their communities. They must travel for more than 1 hour to reach the closest midwife-led birthing home located in Tabuk City. 

The local government in the area has welcomed AGGMC to the community, and the building in the above photo has been chosen for the new clinic.  It is close the main road and the “city center”, there is space for parking, and the building is big enough for the clinic needs.  There is also access to a reliable water source.  Additionally, the owner will allow AGGMC to renovate the space and will deduct the renovation costs from the rental fees.

Until funding is secured to cover construction costs, start-up and monthly operational costs, AGGMC will provide prenatal care one to two days per week and will provide transportation to these clients to give birth at the main AGGMC site until construction and renovation on the building is complete. 

AGGMC is currently looking for funding to complete the set-up costs and sustain their operation budget for six months while they establish their facility and client base.
