Rev. Andy Withrow - andy@tablechurch.ca

Andy and his wife Katie moved to Victoria in 2009 and, along with Josh and his wife (a different Katie), planted The Table Church. Andy and Katie had their first child, Savannah (14), that same year. Since then Emmett (12) and Ira (8) have joined the party. Andy currently oversees The Table Church Victoria and particularly enjoys preaching, teaching and meeting with individuals one on one to get at the nuts and bolts of faith and following Jesus. In his spare time you may find Andy coaching a baseball team or reading a book.

Rev. Josh Wilton - josh@tablechurch.ca

Josh has had his groceries devoured by Florida turkey vultures and slept under the stars at the Arctic Ocean. He has been a tour guide in Alaska, written a novel in the Yukon, and helped plant The Table on an island on the edge of the Pacific Ocean as a missionary priest. More impressively, he has been married nearly two decades and is the father of two children. He enjoys starting new things, helping people explore matters of faith and life, and connecting people with what they need.

Rev. Anna Spray - annaspray@tablechurch.ca

Anna is a disciple of Jesus, a wife (of Jacob) and a mother (of Lily and Eve). She has been a resident of Victoria since 2 weeks’ old, so she is officially the only pastor at The Table who is a true local. In the other half of her working life, Anna serves our diocese as program director of Increase conference ministry and is on the Ordination Taskforce, which works to review and redefine the ordination process within ANIC. Anna loves creating order out of chaos, sharing good food, and fostering good conversation around our many tables.

Jacob McKee - Youth Director - jacob@tablechurch.ca

Jacob is the Youth Coordinator for the Table Church. He leads our mid week Youth Group and our Sunday teaching for our youth. Jacob also works part time for a small tech company in website development. When he is not hanging out with Youth, or working on websites, Jacob can be found reading or playing video games.

In 2018 Emily married Noah, and they live in Fernwood, spending their free time exploring the city on foot or by bike. Emily has worked in various roles in the non-profit realm during her time in Victoria, dabbling in digital marketing, program coordination, event planning, and all types of administration.

Emily’s day-to-day is bookkeeping, communications, scheduling, and lots of other nitty-gritty logistics that make the Table run smoothly. You’ll often find her making a pot of soup in the kitchen for a fellowship group or for a Kaleo leadership event.

Anna King

Anna King has been attending the Table for 9 years with her husband Rob. Together, they have 2 preschool children.

Anna has worked for numerous nonprofits including Samaritan's Purse, City in Focus chaplaincy, Union Gospel Mission, and the BC Green Party. Through Samaritans’s Purse, Anna specialized in church relations for Operation Christmas Child and even had the opportunity to hand deliver the shoeboxes in rural Costa Rica. Anna has also directed the National Student Forum in Ottawa. In Vancouver’s Downtown Eastside, Anna’s work at UGM ranged from outreach and fundraising to board leadership.

Currently, Anna is a stay at home mother. At the Table Anna is a co-leader of Fernwood Neighbourhood Table and on Table Council. She is passionate about scripture reading and community building through practical help.

Daniel Mol

Daniel Mol started attending the Table in 2022. Dan appreciates the openness and warmth of the Table community. He enjoys cycling and hiking in the natural beauty of southern Vancouver Island. Dan is a lawyer in full-time private practice since 2006. Outside work, Dan’s reading and thinking focuses on Christian contributions to law in the West, especially concepts of the dignity of the human person and the line between sacred and secular. Dan divides his time between Victoria and Edmonton, where he was born.

Liz Snell

Lynne Ellis

Lynne Ellis and Rod Ellis served together in ministry almost as long as they have been married, which is 50 years.  When Rod retired from Church of Our Lord, as Rector there for 20 years, he and Lynne joined Peninsula Table Church, where their son, Jonathan was the lead pastor.  Lynne led a weekly Bible study and they both fitted in various ways, including preaching occasionally.

Lynne served as Interim Priest in Charge at Open Gate Church until the church appointed Jonathan Ellis as their new rector, while also continuing to lead the Bible study at Peninsula Table.  It was therefore a very easy decision for Lynne and Rod to become the co-pastors of Peninsula.

Lynne has a background as a school teacher, a drama teacher and lecturer in a few Bible colleges, a provincial director of a Christian ministry called Scripture Union and has served on many boards and councils.  Since the former  Table Church council representative, Terry Thomson, Lynne and Rod's son-in-law, stepped down, Lynne has taken up the reins as the sole representative for Peninsula Table.  Her hope is to learn more and share whatever may be useful for the Table as a whole and to see God's kingdom flourish.

Noah Sommerfeld

Originally from Prince George BC, Noah Sommerfeld has been attending the Table since he moved to Victoria in 2016 after completing a degree in business and computer science at UBC. At his day job, Noah works as a technical consultant helping companies across Canada set up big database solutions on the cloud, and in his time off enjoys photography and travel. In September 2018, he married Emily and they live together in Fernwood.

Growing up in a Christian home, Noah has been involved in the church in a variety of ways, including youth group leadership, short-term missions trips, and most recently contributing to helping the Table pull off digital church services. Noah is excited to serve on council and help provide accountability and encouragement to leadership, while also helping explore opportunities for growth and reinvention.

Tim Hardy

Tim and his wife Michelle have been part of the Table community since 2012. He appreciates the effort the Table puts into fostering community and leadership development. Tim grew up on the West Coast and loves the ocean and the forest, and, on good days, even the rain. He works as an electronic engineer helping develop instrumentation for astronomy. He helps lead the Fernwood Neighbourhood Table and enjoys discussions about scripture and theology. He likes reading and good food and was baking sourdough before it was cool.

Yvonne Mann

Yvonne Mann and her husband, Jim, have been part of the Table family for 8 years. Yvonne served on the Council previously and looks forward to continuing to serve in this capacity.

Yvonne became a Christian as a teenager dedicating her life to serving God. She has served in many roles including as a licensed pastor in a house church. Yvonne and Jim completed a 4-year spiritual formation program in 2019 which they both enjoyed so much and love to share their learning with others! She has a degree in leadership and training and is a certified Executive Coach. Her professional career is improving organizational performance. As a consultant, she assists non-profits with visioning and strategic planning.

Yvonne has been married to Jim for 36 years. You’ll see Jim playing guitar and singing on the worship team. They have two adult children, Alicia (married to Aaron) who lives and worships in Vancouver, and Joshua, who lives in Victoria. Josh’s daughter Hayden often attends church with them. Jim and Yvonne have a large extended family living in Victoria.

Yvonne says the pandemic strengthened her love for the people of the Table Community. She felt grieved at those who have not returned to gathering because they moved, died or because of health concerns. She is especially concerned for those who struggled, lost their faith or don’t feel the need to be in community.  For this reason, she hopes that she can use the gifts God has given her to strengthen the Table Community. But, she says, “that means God has to put up with me as His filter and all too often I fall short. I am grateful for God’s grace and mercy which I seem to need and receive abundantly!”

Yvonne wants you to know that she is terrible at remembering names. You can help her by assuming she remembers You ~ but may not remember your name.
